Meet the Doctors at Alabaster Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Lauri M. Williams, DMD, PC

Dedicated to helping children achieve and maintain beautiful, healthy smiles, Dr. Lauri M. Williams has been practicing since 2002. Dr. Williams earned her undergraduate degree from Auburn University before attending dental school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

After obtaining her doctorate of dental medicine (DMD) degree, she completed a general practice residency at UAB Hospital and additional training in pedodontics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Dentistry and the Children's Hospital of Alabama. She completed training to treat special needs patients at the Sparks Center for developmental learning disorders.

Dr. Williams maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to be up-to-date with latest techniques and technological advancements made in pediatric dentistry. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, the Birmingham District Dental Society, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Alabama Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Birmingham Pediatric Dental Society.

Dr. Amber Martin-Bishop, DMD 

Dr. Amber Martin-Bishop aspirations for dentistry began with her singing orthodontist at age 12. She followed her dreams to the University of Alabama where she graduated with honors in 2002 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology. Dr. Martin-Bishop attended the UAB School of Dentistry. Upon graduation she practiced general dentistry for 6 years where she cultivated a love for kids through work in practice and in her community. She also served 2 years in the National Health Service Corps. In 2013 Dr. Martin-Bishop returned to UAB and Children's Hospital of Alabama to attend the residency in Pediatric Dentistry. During the residency she received extensive training in preventive, restorative, and hospital dentistry for children. 

Dr. Martin-Bishop also was a Sparks Center Trainee where she received additional training on treating special needs children and adults. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Birmingham District Dental Society and American Dental Association.

Dr. Martin-Bishop loves God, her family, and the Crimson Tide. She loves to read, travel, and cuddle with her sweet baby girl.
